Email Documents with Omnistar Document Management Software

Omnistar Document Management Software is equipped to provide for all your upload and download needs. The web file manager includes a system that allows for you to offer any website visitor access to a file upload form. You can use this to collect submissions of media files, accept documents, or for any other function that would involve your customers uploading a file. And because the system can be customized to collect other information from individuals making submissions, you get exactly the information you need.

Step 1: Configure the upload page settings

Select the Anonymous Upload button from the main documents page. From here you should select the Anonymous Configuration button. On this page, you have the option of including text on the upload page above the input fields. You can also choose whether the system should ask for name and email when making an upload. Select whether the user can use the java tool to upload files. You can set the software to only allow specific file extensions to be uploaded, or you can blacklist file extensions. You can limit the size of files that are able to be uploaded, and you can blacklist IP Addresses.

Step 2: Customize the page interface

You can customize the page using HTML. Select the HTML button and enter the code into the header and footer fields, it will be applied to this page when you save the changes. Alternately, you can make changes using the default template. You can upload new images to replace the existing ones, and you can alter or choose not to show the links that appear at the top of the page. Click save when you are finished editing.

Step 3: Add and edit fields

From the User Custom Fields section, you can add and edit fields that are submitted with a file. Enter a name, type, and any values if the field requires them, then click add.

Step 3: Post the link

From the main Anonymous upload page, you can see the link to the upload page. Post this link to your site in order to allow users access to it. They can upload files based on the parameters you set, and if you allow them to use the java tool, they can upload multiple files and send files that would usually be too large for a browser based upload.
