Step 1: Add a Document
From the documents page, click the add document button. |
Step 2: Select an upload method
Drive has 3 upload methods. The first is a simple
browse button that allows you to upload a single file
from your server, which has a size limit. The second
is to import from files stored in a specific FTP folder,
allowing you to offer FTP as a method for uploading
files. Finally, with the Java tool, there are no size
restrictions, the user can upload multiple files at
once, and the user can drag files into the window
and drop them into the Java tool. |
Step 3a: Use the file browser
Select browse and you will be asked to select a file
to upload. Once you have selected the proper file,
name it and fill in any other details. |
Step 3b: Select files from your server
To use this option you must have drive configured
to access your server. Go to the configuration tab
and fill in the address of the folder you wish users
to access.
You will now be able to select any of the files located
in this folder and add them to the Drive database.
Select a file, then fill in a name and any other information
for the file. |
Step 3c: Use the Java Upload Tool
If you select the Java Upload tool, the tool will
load and you will be able to access files by browsing,
to drop files into the tool, and to upload files of
an unlimited size. Select your files and then fill
in a name and any other information.
|
Step 4: Save the file
Once you have uploaded a file and filled in the required
fields, click save and the document will be added
to the documents page or the folder you selected.
